I wonder how many other mothers have watched there children run up and down the cold bars of this play structure. Out for a walk on a chilly January morning I stumbled across this park hidden down a back alley in our neighborhood. I had never seen it on the map before, and the long patch of grass leading to the light brown bark was a bit of a surprise. Now it is our "regular" park. Our favorite park. Our least crowded local park. I believe the hidden nature of this park makes it a special place, usually free of other families, even on warm afternoons. I have only spotted a handful of others playing there during our many visits. There is something about this special place that its barrenness make it feel all our own.
